The T.E.A.C.H. Framework is a practical prompt-engineering model designed specifically for educators. It helps teachers and school leaders create clearer prompts for teaching, learning, lesson planning, feedback, assessment design, differentiation, and classroom support. Instead of asking AI broad or vague questions, the framework helps educators communicate their instructional purpose more clearly so that AI responses become more useful, relevant, and aligned with real classroom needs.
T.E.A.C.H. stands for five important steps. T means Target the Learning Purpose, which means starting with a clear learning goal or outcome. E means Establish the AI’s Role, such as asking the AI to act as a teacher, tutor, curriculum designer, or feedback coach. A means Align with Curriculum and Context, which includes grade level, subject, standards, student needs, time limits, and school expectations. C means Clarify Instructions and Format, so the AI knows the structure, tone, length, and type of output required. H means Harness Iteration and Feedback, which reminds educators to review, refine, and improve the AI’s response rather than accepting the first answer as final.
I have also created an AI agent that helps educators create prompts based on the T.E.A.C.H. Framework. The agent guides teachers step by step through the process, helping them define their purpose, set the AI’s role, include the right context, choose the best format, and refine the final prompt. This makes it easier for educators to produce clearer, more purposeful, and curriculum-aligned prompts that can support planning, instruction, feedback, and student learning in practical classroom situations.
